WILD GOD ist das 18. gemeinsame Studioalbum der Gruppe, ihr erstes seit GHOSTEEN aus dem Jahr 2019. Cave hat die Platte zusammen mit seinem angestammten Kompagnon Warren Ellis produziert und beschreibt sie als Zustandsbeschreibung der aktuellen Gefühlslage der Band. Die Bad Seeds seien demnach gerade „happy“. Das hört man dem opulenten Album mit seinen grandiosen Klanglandschaften an. Einer der zusätzlichen Soundgärtner ist Radiohead-Bassist Colin Greenwood.
Die 7“-Single kommt auf schwarzem Vinyl in einem exklusiv gestalteten, von Meister Cave persönlich konzipierten Cover.

We are publishing another very special extra with our September issue. The edition of MUSIKEXPRESS 09/24 comes with an exclusive vinyl 7-inch single from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. The A-side features "Long Dark Night", a song from the band's brand new album, WILD GOD. The B-side features the title track from the record "Wild God".
WILD GOD is the group's 18th studio album, the first since 2019's GHOSTEEN. Cave produced the record together with his regular collaborator Warren Ellis and calls it a description of the band's current emotional state. According to him, the Bad Seeds are "happy" right now. You can hear this in the opulent album with its grandiose soundscapes. One of the additional sound gardeners is Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood.
The single comes on black vinyl and in an exclusively designed cover conceived by Master Cave himself and is only available with MUSIKEXPRESS.
